The event organised by the Italian American Chamber of Commerce Midwest, as part of the “Valorisation and promotion of authentic Italian agri-food products” project, consisted of a business meeting between the best Italian food and wine producers and local distributors (importers, distributors, restaurants, chefs and retailers of quality products). The event also enabled local consumers with an interest in quality Italian food and wine to taste the products on show. During the event, 32 informative/educational activities were also held on eating authentic Italian food, including seminars, cooking shows, blind testing, etc., which involved recognised and influential people from the local restaurant scene, as well as the specialist press and food bloggers.
