Organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada for the “"Valorisation and promotion of authentic Italian agri-food products” project, the “Taste & Learn” initiative, held in November and December 2016, featured a cycle of guided tastings of authentic Italian products and Info-training sessions at food boutiques and gourmet stores in the Montreal metropolitan area and the city of Québec. The “Au Coin de l’Italie” (Sherbrooke), “Metro Plus” (Magog), “Aux Petits Délices” (Ville de Québec), “Epicerie Traiteur Morena” (Ville de Québec), “Les Passions de Manon” (Sainte-Hyacinthe) and “Metro Plus Riendeau (Sainte-Julie) food locations, displayed special promotional corners staffed by experts, to demonstrate the characteristics of the various products and their designation of origin, including Bresaola PGI, Prosciutto di Parma PDO ham, Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI, PDO Olive Oil and Parmigiano Reggiano PDO. The distribution of brochures with QR codes allowed visitors to access more detailed information on the various specialities and their traceability.
