The event featured presentations of authentic Italian pizza as personally interpreted by each chef and pizzeria taking part, in both classic and street food versions. Between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm at Liberty Grand, Artifacts Room, 25 British Columbia Rd, Toronto, ON M6K 3C3 participants sampled various different pizzas along with a range of wines and other drinks suggested by the chefs themselves. The Food Pic app was launched during the event, and participants used it to post photos of their favourite pizzas and comment on the event.

'At Pizza Night participants were given the chance to watch an authentic Italian pizza being made, using the best ingredients on the market. Special guests: Chef Franco Pepe (Pepe in Grani), Chef Cristina Bowerman (Glass Hostaria), Chef Ugo Mura (IFSE), Viva Napoli Pizzeria (Toronto), Longo Brothers Fruit Markets Inc. (Toronto) .

The event featured the presentation of a new ICCO publication, "Pizza Cultura", a book on the history of pizza in Italy and Canada and its evolution over the centuries.
