The event is intended to underline the importance of using premium 100% Made in Italy raw materials, which are fundamental to guarantee the benefits and flavour of authentic Italian cuisine.
The CCIM intends to organise around eight dinners to be held in the same number of restaurants, located across the length and breadth of Mexico, with special attention being paid to the Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Guadalajara, Querétaro and Puebla districts.
The above-mentioned geographical areas have been chosen owing to a number of different factors, such as tourist influx, the presence of Italian restaurants, the possibility to obtain Italian produce and the perception and knowledge of the population as regards Italian cuisine etc.
A limited number of Italian and Mexican diners will be invited to each event, which will include prominent figures such as local entrepreneurs, journalists, sommeliers, bloggers and nutritionists.
Moreover, blind tastings will be organised during the dinners to enable the diners to observe the difference between original Italian products and their imitations available on the market.
Brief videos will be filmed during the dinners and later made available for use as part of the ‘The Extraordinary Italian Taste’ campaign.
