An event consists of a cocktail gala scheduled for December 7 in the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, to be attended by about 300 guests, with registration starting at 19:00; the event will end at 22:00.
There will be an exhibition space dedicated to the Authentic Italian Experience campaign in the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, set up with signage bearing the campaign logos and three tables where visitors will be able to sample a selection of top Italian products with protected designation of origin.
The products presented will include Mozzarella di Bufala Campana cheese, Prosciutto di Parma PDO ham, and Pomodoro San Marzano PDO tomatoes.
The products will be served to visitors by specialists who will describe the features that make them unique and provide information on where they can be found in the New York metropolitan area.
The exhibition space will measure about 40 square metres, in a high traffic area, and in addition to the three workers staffing the tables, there will be three more staff members at each table to distribute documentation, conduct interviews and take photographs. They will also launch a social media campaign presenting key moments at the event.
Other authentic Italian products will be on display in the location, ranging from food specialities to wines and spirits; qualified staff members will be on hand at each station to explain the product and how to serve it to interested visitors.
There will also be a Pizza point operated by one of New York’s most important pizzerias: Don Antonio by Starita. The event will be attended by Roberto Caporuscio, President of the Pizzaioli Napoletani in USA, the Association of Neapolitan Pizza Makers in the USA.
Videos and photos will be shown during the evening presenting the concept of authentic Italian identity.
