Between 13 and 15 May there will be three days of entertainment at CIAO CHICAGO, 1656 West Chicago Avenue, in Chicago, organised by the Italian American Chamber of Commerce Midwest, during which guests will get to taste dishes prepared by the best local restaurants, as they learn about the importance of raw materials and how to identify authentic Italian ingredients.

The objective of the Authentic Italian Table is that of creating a connection between the city’s finest Italian restaurants and supermarkets, in order to increase the awareness of consumers and help them avoid unauthentic Italian-sounding products, while also offering cooking classes, tasting sessions and seminars.

Each of the three days has been organised to present different aspects of Italian cuisine and show how it can become a part of people’s daily lives.

On 13 May, for Mother’s Day, the theme will be the CARE which characterises all mums and, more broadly, families. Between 12 PM and 4 PM, Chef Massimo Campagnini from VOLARE restaurant will be presenting a typical Sunday lunch that is suitable for all families in the city.

The main theme on 14 May will be DEDICATION, the commitment people put into cooking and preparing dishes. This will be an occasion to create synergies and a networking event during which selected Italian restaurants, including GAETANO'S & RISTORANTINO MEDITERRANEO and its Chef Gaetano di Benedetto, will be presenting their finest dishes between 6 and 9 PM.

On 15 May, between 6 PM and 9 PM, the focus will be on one of the main ingredients of Italian cuisine: LOVE. Passion will be the defining feature of the event’s exclusive closing night, and invitees will get to experience true and authentic Italian style with great flavours, tradition, innovation and elegance in the company of Chef Federico Comacchio from the restaurant COCO PAZZO.
